Le Cluster Edit vient de lancer le projet de R&D MES. Il permettra de proposer aux PME d’ici 3 ans un système de gestion d’atelier modulaire et économique.

Mené en Rhône-Alpes au sein du Cluster Edit et piloté par Thésame, le projet de R&D informatique MES a démarré. Il a pour but d’intégrer des solutions logicielles dans le domaine du Manufacturing Executing System par une approche d’orchestration des processus métiers. Spécifiquement adapté aux besoins des PMI-PME, cette offre souple et à la carte leur permettra de se doter d’un système de gestion d’atelier en choisissant les briques logicielles qui les intéresse à des coûts adaptés.

Il doit permettre aux éditeurs participants :

d'intégrer dans leurs produits les normes métiers support des bonnes pratiques et des échanges ;
d'intégrer dans leurs produits les technologies permettant l’interopérabilité ;
de permettre à leurs produits de s'intégrer dans une architecture de système d'information piloté par les processus ;
de fournir des outils d’industrialisation du déploiement des solutions fournies par les éditeurs.

Le MES (Manufacturing Executive System ou système de gestion d’atelier) est au cœur des besoins actuels de l'industrie en terme d’amélioration continue et d’adaptabilité des ateliers de fabrication. C’est un maillon du système d’information qui permet, au sein de l’entreprise, de piloter l’atelier de production.

Historiquement bien implantés dans les industries de process, agroalimentaire et pharmaceutique en particulier (principalement pour des exigences de traçabilité), ces systèmes gagnent peu à peu d’autres secteurs d’activités, notamment les entreprises manufacturières.

En permettant d’assurer le lien entre les deux systèmes informatisés existants dans l’entreprise, à savoir le système informatique comprenant les fonctions de gestion (GPAO, ERP, Comptabilité…) et les systèmes de contrôle/commande assurant le pilotage en temps réel des ateliers de fabrication, les systèmes MES doivent idéalement contribuer à améliorer les activités de production depuis l’ordre de fabrication jusqu’aux produits finis.
